27 Years in the hobby . . . A dealer for 12 years

The roots of Metal Detection Services can be traced back some 27 years to 1981 when I bought my first metal detector, a Garrett Groundhog. Thus started a passion for the metal detecting hobby that has not abated to this day. Over the years I have owned various metal detectors for both land and water hunting developing a familiarity with many models of metal detectors based on that personal experience.

It is that wealth of experience that I can share with my customers, both veterans and beginners, to enable them to select the right metal detector and equipment to maximize both their enjoyment of the hobby and their finds afield.

Metal Detection Services was established in 1995 offering only locating and recovery services to the general public with no retail sales involved. When I retired after a 26-year career with the Ontario Ministry of the Environment in 1996, I expanded my home-based business to include metal detectors sales and related products.
